Providing Health Care to the
Poor
Better Burmese Healthcare (BBHC) is a
501(c)(3) non-profit, non-religious, and nonpolitical humanitarian
organization seeking to provide medical assistance to those
in under served places in Myanmar (Burma).
Our clinics offer year-round access to basic health care
needs. With an emphasis on diagnosis, treatment, health education
and training we hope to change the scenario in Myanmar where
poor patients are unable to find or bear the high cost of
treatment.
By establishing a network of long term, transparently run
clinics we can help those who currently have limited or non-existent
access to, or the ability to pay for, health care. To achieve
this, BBHC draws from the Burmese medical community and offers
both training and financial support. |

activity report

BBHC team is in Burma & has set up 8 emergency
clinic sites in South & North Dagon Townships that are providing
acute medical care for the recently homeless and injured cyclone
victims. The teams consisting of 20 doctors & 20 non medical
volunteers are providing acute medical care as well as surveillance
to prevent outbreak of infectious diseases. To date we have treated
over 2000 patients. We are also focusing on heavily damaged areas
in the Delta region where there has been little or no assistance.
We are closely collaborating with our partners both inside and outside
Burma. This will allow for distribution of Water Purification tabs
and Anti Malaria & Cholera, other essential medications & other
basic necessities. Our efforts in the Delta will be updated
in due course.
Thank You for all you support
Jalin, Robert and the BBHC staff
